Human Design Community

I have noticed the recent increase in traffic to this blog, and I have to guess that it is to do with all of the Human Design information.  I would love to know if this is true or not, and I'm ready to hear responses to any of the information collected in the comment sections below.

I would also like to leave some Facebook links where discussions about this topic are taking place for those interested in learning more.  There really is plenty of free information out here, online and as part of conversations on message boards.  I have been practicing my strategy for 6 years and still have not had a Foundation reading.  Would love one, but I never have the money to spend.  If there are scholarships or a way to pay in monthly installments for a Foundation reading, it would be great if someone would let me know!  : )

HOLY COW!  I JUST FOUND THIS ARTICLE LINKING TAROT TO HUMAN DESIGN

Tarot Lecture With Layouts   (I fixed this link)

This is something that's obviously been on my mind, but I am thinking more along the lines of doing a spread in the shape of the Centers and reading energetically from there.

November 19th 2010 3 Card Daily Spread

3 of Swords Rx

8 of Wands

3 of Wands Rx

A set of 3's and the 8 of Wands implies that there is another person I am trying to contact for help. It's with a heavy heart I'll be asking and it looks like I won't get the help I want. At least not today. But there will be communication, by the look of the 8 of Wands. Email in particular.

Meh, okay I was a bit off. I thought about what I did do today and realized what this reading was in reference to...

I spent a bit of time on Facebook looking for and ex of mine. He has a pretty common first name, so there were like 500 entries with the same name, despite his last name. Didn't find him.

November 18th 2010 Daily Spread

The spread:

Woman of Crystals Rx

Man of Crystals Rx

6 of Crystals Rx

All of the same suit, Cyrstals, which translates as Swords, which has to do with the Mind. Over thinking, over analyzing, etc. Since the Man and Woman are of the same suit, it implies a couple. Myself and Bob are over thinking things today, making the Woman touchy and defensive, and the Man disorganized. (Due to the reversals)

I haven't seen BoB today, yet. He's at work, and I'm at home waiting for a new call. And now I'm nervous and over thinking this spread.

The outcome is the 6 of Crystals Reversed. In the Voyager deck the card is titled ''Confusion.'' With this reversal I would think it would be a kind of confusion resolved with logic and clarity. The blue crystal in the card jumps out at me, but undetermined in it's meaning.

I will have to come back tonight to report what the day has been like.

______________________________________________________________________________

I was so concerned about having an argument with my husband that I just kept my head about me. Turned the reversed cards upright. My husband, as represented by the Man of Crystals Rx, did have a confusing day at work. Machines weren't doing what they should. The 6 of Crystals Rx showed Clarity and that is what came through.

Determining Attraction Spread

I'm trying out a new spread I just learned called The Determining Attraction Spread. When the cards are thrown it will look like this:

...............1.............
2.............4............3
...............5.............

1. What quality is So-&-So attracted to (in general, not in you)?
2. How does So-&-So view me physically?
3. How does So-&-So view my personality?
4. What would So-&-So think of being on a date with me?*
5. Advice on how to be most attractive to So-&-So?

*Interpret ''date'' how you will.

Here's what it looked like for myself, doing a test reading on how my newlywed husband feels toward me.

This seems like a great reading for using ''The Sexual Key To The Tarot'' by Theodor Laurence. I adore this book, it is so detailed in it's interpretation of each card, from the minor to the major, and I would love to read anything else by the author.

The first card, XXI The World Rx, seems to indicate he's into women who are sexually playful and very open sexually. However, the reverse status indicates that he would prefer them not to be promiscuous. She is insatiable and erotic yet monogamous, ''stuck'' on one man.

The second card, Ace of Swords, reveals how he views me physically and, according to Laurence's interpretation, he sees me as having a winning clitoris! I am able to overcome hesitant sexuality!

The third card, 6 of Cups, represents his feeling about my personality and this card definitely shows how we have been friends for 15 years. We've known each other since I was in high school and we've stayed friends this whole time. He feels comfortable around me.

The fourth card, VII The Chariot, describes how he'd feel being on a ''date'' with me. The chariot is a fitting description because I know how much he'd like to take me places. His perfect date varies from bicycling 20 miles to long walks to long road trips.

The final card, The Page Of Wands, describes how I can be more attractive to him. I could write him letters describing new projects, or texting him is more likely. If I texted him more often.

Yeah, this is a pretty safe spread. I trust it. Seems pretty appropriate.

A Different Daily Spread

I just went to the Aeclectic Tarot forums to find a better daily spread; I really need one that fits me correctly. And I found this one by Thorhammer. So, here we go, I'll try it for a few days and see if it helps with understanding my day better.

It's just that I found with the previous spread I was using, the cards were correct, but the meaning of their positions didn't make any kind of sense to me or my day.

...................2.............................1................................3........................

1. What will I do well today?

2. What do I need to leave behind in today?

3. What do I need to take forward from today?

I am the type of reader who always reads in inverted cards as they are. However today I get the feeling, since they all came up inverted, and it's a deck I haven't used for a while (Voyager) that I should turn them right side up. Really, it's just a feeling I have....but should I? Eh, fuck it, I'll leave them as they are....

1. Woman of Wands Rx

2. Nine of Wands Rx

3. Woman of Crystals Rx

I will do well today to leave behind infidelity? Well, that's a laugh! I just got married 2 months ago and I'm currently only seeing him, and he me. Maybe it's pointing to something else, like being manipulative sexually. Like I shouldn't whine for sex, or count how many times we're doing it a week....I hope this card is only pointing to that.

I will do well in being tired today. LOL. Being injured and needing to rest and take care of myself. Although, I'm not injured am sore. I've been working out non-stop for two months without making any progress with my body that anyone can see. I've recently trained to the point where I can run a continuous mile and I'm very proud of that, but I woke up too late today to do my proper workout. I'm busy waiting on my groceries to be delivered. And when he gets here, I'll want to eat I'm sure. Or it's telling me I'll be great at self-deception today. Awesome! Looks like a shitty day.

I need to take forward from today some kind of confrontation. These two bitches in this reading alongside the 9 of wands Rx looks pretty dicey. Like I'm headed for some kind of tense situation.

I will have to report back tonight to report what kind of day I've had.

All I did today was RELAX! And it was great!

Normally I exercise for 2 hours in the mornings without taking days off. I believe a habit is a habit and if I only did it 3 times a week I would forget to exercise at all.

This was a rare day, I relaxed, drank beer and ate ice cream. It was awesome. And this morning (Thursday the 15th) I was relaxed enough to run a complete mile. So, it was well worth the R&R.

No women to speak of, I didn't see or talk to anyone but BoB, my husband.

The Darkest of Easy Going Days

First off, my daily spread today included:

XIX The Sun Rx for the gift of the Spirit. Seems a little shady, perhaps I won't get to have sex today?

4 of Wands Rx for my Mindset. Very easy going, little passion. Yeah, I'm not going to get to have sex, but it could still be a pleasant day. However, I'm not concerned with sex as much as I am concerned with making some MONEY today!

XVII The Star Rx is my Action card for the day. Am I going to get sick? I feel great, I'm up early, I have plans to workout even harder (or just as hard as I did yesterday). I mean, I just watched ''G.I. Jane'' the other day and now I am super inspired! Shouldn't this card be upright?

The Sun and The Star both showing up reversed, makes for a darker day, but I feel wonderful. I will be back later tonight to see how this will play out. (last time I had the Star Rx in a daily spread I felt great but by the end of the day I had a little diarrhea, lol)

6 of Pentacles, King of Swords Rx, The Wheel Rx

3 Card Daily reading.

6 of Pentacles: What Spirit is giving me today is good karma. On a physical actual plane today I will be given a sense of proportion and balance. Sounds great, I will have to come back at the end of the day to report how this was understood. This card usually seems so vague to me, most of the 6's do.

King of Swords Rx: My mindset today doesn't look good, I mean Jesus! Feeling like a tyrant? I feel really positive right now, my mindset is one of action and not pussing out, but not being tyrannical. This may sound dumb, but I've been watching movies about being in basic training lately. And last night I watched ''G.I. Jane'' and it was awesome. It's about being in SEAL basic training, man it was very inspirational and now I just want to increase my workout time! But this image looks too aggressive and strategic in a dark selfish manner. But maybe it's just exaggerrated for hyperbolic effect?

The Wheel of Fortune Rx: My action plan today involves losing. Maybe losing some weight? That would be awesome!!!! I guess we shall see, I mean I don't have any money to begin with so....I don't have any of that to lose out on.

________________________________________________________________

The follow-up:

The King of Swords Rx may have to do with two things. First I did go out and apply for a part-time job and the owner is a dark haired man. If the card refers to him I may have to do something outstanding to get his attention for the job.

Second, and this is more likely, I did a reading for a Bounty Hunter friend of mine. He is looking for a guy who jumped bail and he thought he had some new good leads, but my readings were less than positive. Basically, he will not find the man he's looking for, hence, the Reversal. Since this King has to do with Justice and Law Enforcement and he is reversed I am sure this is what was portended.

The placement of this card suggested my mindset for the day. And that's why I normally do not use spreads with placement indicators, they can be too limiting. But I was giving it a try for these three-card daily spreads. Maybe I will search out a new type of daily spread? We'll see.

My workout was incredible today! I usually just do 35 minutes on an elliptical trainer and so today I also included a 1 mile run. Which I ran for most of the mile, I just need to learn some more about endurance. If I keep doing this for a week I should be able to run the entire mile, right? Sure I can! Then later in the day I had my husband of 2 months get me started on learning how to do chin-ups. He knelt underneath me to push me up to the bar and I did what he called ''negs.'' Obviously, I could pull myself up, I could only barely hold myself up there. For about 1 second, but he was encouraging saying that doing a neg will help me learn. By the 3rd try I was already doing a bit better. Then I went on to attempt push-ups. Ok, a push-up.

Possibly this is what the Pentacle card referred to? I mean, it's physical. Because there was no bonus or money involved in my work at this time. I didn't even get a single call today. But I knew that because of getting the Wheel Rx...

All in all a decent day though...

Bachelorette Party and 3-Card Daily Reading

Spirit (what spirit is giving),
Mind (what’s your mindset), Action (what to do today)

tarot, psychic power network, shannon raeKnight of Pentacles Rx I may be in touch with a person who wants something for nothing, and/or is passive and careless.

tarot,psychic power network,shannon rae
7 of Pentacles My mindset today is one of trying to plan financially for the future. And this is true, I've been actively planting ''seeds'' of my business on Craigslist this morning and trying to brainstorm ways to do readings for people at the beach, but I kind of need money to make money on that front. Meaning, I need to be at the beach to do readings and the way I've done this in the past is by hanging out in a bar with booths and doing readings for people. I need to have enough money to hang out in a bar in the first place, and not get too drunk to do readings.

tarot,psychic power network,shannon rae
Knight of Wands Rx My action today, again, is represented by a Knight not on his horse. This is the kind of person who is lacking in willpower and not moving forward, a trip delayed. True, I'm not going to the beach today, but that's because my plan today is to stay in and work the phone line.

Last Saturday I got to be the entertainment at a bachelorette party! It is so much easier to do face to face readings, it doesn't matter how large the group. I don't know what it is about the phone, but I get so nervous with anticipation that it almost makes me never want to work the phone line....I really would prefer doing the readings in front of the client.

It was awesome! I did a presentation of my abilities with the Tarot and Geomancy in front of a group of 15 women. The readings were for the bride to be, and then I did readings for all the individual women in the back bedroom for the next 3 hours. All of the women got a hand written note of their readings, as well...15 cold reads in a row and never once was I inaccurate!

I haven't done a session like that since November of 2008. It has been a while and I am so happy to be back into it again.

Pet Psychic

I read the tarot cards and I am an astrologer but I don't bill myself as a ''Reader.'' It just doesn't make sense to most people, I have to claim Clairvoyant, Clairsentient, or Clairaudient. All those terms mean about the same thing.

And another thing I've noticed lately on these psychic reader sites, is everyone and their grandma claiming to be a Pet Psychic. 9 years ago you would never see that and now it is everywhere.

I was finally asked by a client to read her pet and I did extremely well, and all I used were tarot cards!  It was a great and very accurate reading....My client was pleased and I surprised myself. Turns out it's pretty simple and like doing any other kind of reading with a question. Although, I've only ever been asked to do readings for pets that are alive, but then I don't bill myself as a Medium, so that's likely why.

TelePsychic

I am about to start a new job doing psychic ''chats'' online. And I am wanting to find other psychics who do this service, anyone know any? I can't find anyone doing a blog about this anywhere.

I usually do my readings in person or over the phone and the company I work with wants to begin doing this through Yahoo and AOL. The one difficulty I see is not having my hands free to do the actual reading, since I'll be typing. I'm not used to having dead air in a reading. I won't find out more about how to do these readings until tomorrow. I am so nervous, but I shouldn't be. I am always dead accurate.

It's now been a year since I first posted this entry.  I have become incredibly adept at the art of Chat Tarot reading.  A headset cures all the ''hands free'' issues.  And I have become friends with coworkers at the Psychic Power Network.  If you want an incredible tarot reading give me a call at:

Celtic Cross Meanings

Hello, Come visit me at Cliche.cammodels.com! Streamate

These are taken from around the internet...I'm studying, although, I have to say I don't really use the positional meanings for anything except for specific dates. I've been a reader for ten years now and I'm just doing a refresher.

Card 1: The present

Card 2: The immediate challenge facing the querent. You will often pull a difficult card here, which will indicate an obstacle that must be overcome. When you pull a "good" card here, examine it carefully because it will still represent a challenge.

Card 3: Distant past, foundation. This card should indicate the root of the subject matter of the question.

Card 4: More recent past, including events. This will indicate events taking place, not necessarily directly connected to the question. For example, if a love affair is going wrong, Card 3 would show the root of why it is going wrong, whereas Card 4 will show something that recently happened to reflect this. You could see this as a "check comment" card - a way of seeing that the reading is sound.

Card 5: The best that can be achieved. This is directly related to the question. Note that this may not necessarily gel against Card 10 - it depends whether you are able to get the best. However, a negative card here probably means that it is worth cutting your losses rather than putting any more effort into the situation.

Card 6: Immediate Future. This indicates events in the next 2 weeks. This reading does not cover months.

Card 7: Factors or inner feelings affecting the situation. Compare this against Card 1 in order to understand underlying forces/trends. If there is conflict between them this tends to indicate that the querent is going in the wrong direction.

Card 8: External influences. People, energies or events which will affect the outcome of the question and are beyond the querent's control.

Card 9: An event that will occur before the outcome that card 10 foretells. This just represents more information on how the next month will proceed.

Card 10: Final outcome. This is a fairly self explanatory card. However it is worth saying that if the card comes up somewhat ambiguous, once again it may be worth drawing three extra cards to clarify. These should be interpreted through the lens of Card 10. So if the card drawn is the Tower and we draw the Ace of Cups, Princess of Cups and Four of Cups in a reading about a relationship, the Tower would indicate that it is time to move on. The Ace of Cup suggests that a new relationship is promised with better things ahead. The Princess of Cups brings new love (and possibly pregnancy). The Four of Cups shows deep levels of contentment and happiness, and many options for progress.

And I, personally, never use a significator, but here's a meaning and explanation:

THE SIGNIFICATOR:

This card is not part of the actual reading, but believed by some to help direct the energies toward the reading’s goal by signifying the purpose of the reading. The significator card simply represents the seeker, or his situation. While some readers use a significator with the Celtic Cross spread, others omit it all together. The choice is yours.

If using a significator card, it should be chosen first when sitting down to do a reading. It can be done by having the seeker select a card blindly at random, or by the reader going through the deck and choosing a specific card that she feels represents the individual or the particular situation. Place the card face-up in the center of the table.

THE LAY-OUT

Once you have settled yourself for a reading, chosen your significator (if you are using one), your seeker has formulated a question, and the cards have been shuffled and cut, you are ready to lay out the cards. The cards should be placed as follows:

Position 1: On top of the significator, if you are using one, or in the center of the reading space.

JUMPING CARDS

When you are shuffling the cards, or when you are laying out the spread, pay particular attention to cards that seem to “jump” or fall out of the deck. Usually, these cards have something specific to say regarding the issue at hand. They could indicate another person or another issue that is closely tied to the seekers situation, so much so that it is influencing the events at hand.

Put them aside for the moment, and examine them when interpreting the reading.

INTERPRETATION

Just as each card holds its own meaning, each position holds its own meaning. To interpret the lay-out, the reader must consider the card in relation to its position, as well as cards in other positions. One common way to interpret each card in its position is the following:

Position 1, at the heart of the layout, the card in this position shows the seeker or the situation as it is in the present. Position 2 shows what “crosses” the seeker. What are the current obstacles or oppositions that the seeker is dealing with? This card could also represent a secondary issue, or reinforce the present situation revealed in position 1.

Position 3 shows the root of the issues at hand-- subconscious motives, or underlying influences that have brought the seeker to the current situation. It may also reveal hidden or unknown factors. Position 4 shows the past– the events that have taken place, bringing the seeker to his current position. These issues may or may not be resolved, or may be something the seeker needs to let go of once and for all.

Position 5 reveals the seeker’s conscious mind– his attitudes, his motives, his feelings about the situation. The majority of the time, it is not the situation, but our perceptions of it that make the difference between happiness and misery. Position 6 shows the near future, or the next major event regarding the issue. This can be an action (something the seeker will do, or that will be done to the seeker), inaction (new feelings or thoughts that may arise, or a passing an opportunity to do something), or an unexpected turn of events.

Position 7, the bottom card of the staff, reveals how the seeker views himself, or the internal resources (talents, abilities, strengths) that the seeker should tap into in order to deal with the situation.

Position 8 represents the external forces that the seeker has little control over. This can be how others view the seeker or the situation, or that which is surrounding the seeker. Position 9 shows the seekers hopes and fears. What are the seekers expectations of the outcome? What does he want to happen, or what does he dread happening?

Position 10 reveals the ultimate outcome of the situation if the seeker continues on his current course. Remember, this possible future can be altered if the seeker does something to change his course. Go through the reading once, considering each card’s meaning in its respective position, and what it is telling you about the seeker or the issue at hand.

REVERSED CARDS

There are generally three different schools of thought on reversed, or upside-down, cards in a reading. One school of thought states that the reversed card indicates the opposite meaning of the card drawn. This appears logical to some people because the reverse of something is generally the opposite. Therefore, a card generally meaning love will indicate hatred if reversed, a card meaning failure will indicate success, and so forth.

Another school of thought says that if your cards are coming out reversed, you simply turned part of the deck in the shuffle. The logic behind this is that there are 78 cards in a standard tarot deck, each with a very detailed meaning. If the reading meant to show ill health, it would show a card specifically meaning ill health– not a good health card upside-down. People who follow this school of thought generally ignore that a card is reversed, or will turn the card right-side up and continue with the reading.

The third way of thinking on this situation is that reversed cards do not mean the opposite, but indicate the card shows those particular influences are of lesser importance, or are affecting the situation to a lesser extent. For example, a card indicating a financial gain reversed would simply mean it would not be a very significant sum. A card indicating a journey that shows up reversed would indicate the trip would have little to do with the matter at hand, and no impact on the outcome.

Since the reader is the one interpreting the cards, the reader must follow his own intuition on this point. What seems right, or more logical, to you? There are no hard-and-fast rules, and, as you can see, no clear-cut agreement, so it is best to simply go with the method that you feel makes the most sense.

CARD COMBINATIONS

Certain cards work together. After examining them individually, look at some of the key combinations and see how they relate to each other:

Positions 4, 1, and 6, show a sequence of events. How does each one affect the next? Positions 3, 5 and 9 show what is going on within the seeker on different levels. Are there any conflicts between subconscious motives and his train of conscious thought? Does he have unrealistic expectations, or unnecessary worries?

Positions 7 and 8 show the behavior and feelings of the seeker in comparison to that which is going on around him. Is his behavior productive? Counter-productive? Is there something he can change about himself or how he is handling the situation to counter-act that which he cannot control? Positions 6 and 10 show upcoming events and the final outcome. How do the upcoming events contribute to the outcome? Does the card in position 6 indicate something that should be avoided or embraced with consideration of the final outcome?

CLARIFIERS

You may find yourself stuck in a reading. You may look at a card and be completely baffled by it. You have no clue of how it fits in with the other cards in the reading. Could it be a mistake? Are you missing the message? What are you going to tell the reader?

A clarifier is an additional card drawn in attempts to gain better insight or further understand a card in the spread. Its purpose is to clarify the meaning indicated by another card. Place the clarifier on top of, or next to, the card that is giving you trouble, and take it into consideration when interpreting the difficult card. Clarifiers can be drawn right off the top of the deck, or you can spread out the deck and draw a card you feel drawn to. The method is up to you. In many readings, you may never need a clarifier, however if the situation arises that you think one will help, don’t hesitate to draw two or three to help you make sense of a reading.

PUTTING IT TOGETHER

Think of a reading as telling a story. The story starts with the seeker’s current state (position 1), and what may be his biggest current problem (position 2). Next, go into what has propelled the seeker into that situation (positions 3 and 4). Examine how the seeker feels about the current situation (position 5). What is in store for the seeker next (position 6)? What will be going on inside of the seeker at this time (position 7), and what will be going on around him (position 8)? What are his main expectations or concerns (position 9). Finally, if things go unaltered, what will be the result (position 10).

1. Look at the six cards of the Circle/Cross section. They show what is going on in your life at the moment of the reading.
2. Examine the cards in pairs, perhaps in the following order:
◦ Look at Cards 1 and 2 to find out the central dynamic.
◦ Look at Cards 3 and 5 to find out what is going on within you at different levels.
◦ Look at Cards 4 and 6 to see how people and events are flowing through your life.
3. From these six cards, create a description of your immediate situation.
4. Consider the Staff section of the spread, perhaps in this order:
◦ Look at Cards 7 and 8 to find out how more about the relationship between you and your environment.
◦ Look at Card 10 - the projected outcome. How do you feel about it? What does it say to you?
5.
6. Review the cards to discover the factors leading to the outcome. See if one card stands out as key. Also:
◦ Compare the projected outcome (Card 10) to a possible alternative outcome (Card 5).
◦ Consider how the near future (Card 6) contributes to the projected outcome (Card 10).
◦ See if Card 9 tells you something you need to know. Do you have a hope or fear that is relevant?
This is a common layout I'm seeing online, with the 3rd and 4th card reversed, it wasn't how I was taught, and not what I personally use, but I'll post it here:
